Academy will be focusing on individual skill development.  This is for kids who are passionate about soccer and have skills that are consistently above average for their rec teams.   Academy sessions will be overseen by licensed coaches and there will be specific skills each child will be working on mastering.  We will be having small competitions to encourage kids to practice at home.

There are no teams.  The approach of the Academy program is a "Festival"-type training environment, where all players train together, and then participate in game play at the end of the training session.   If parents and children are interested in playing traditional games in the fall they will need to register with AYSO in addition to academy as our fall program is not about "games".

In the spring, Academy kids will be placed on teams with their age group and they will play older kids in spring rec.  For example, U7 kids will play U8 teams in the spring.

There may be opportunities to play St. George teams  in game settings in St. George and in Cedar but are not guaranteed.

Registration will be for the year. It will include 6 sessions of Academy in the fall AND spring rec registration.  Each Academy child will receive an Academy shirt that they will need to wear at each Academy session.  They will also get a spring rec uniform.

How it Works

Our Academy program is designed for young players (U7 - U11) who want to become a more accomplished, confident player. This program provides recreational players an opportunity to train with experienced and licensed coaches, many of whom are actively coaching competitive teams. Academy play will be used as an additional program for the recreational player, not replace the recreational team your child plays with. This program is scheduled to run for the Fall season of each year.

For Boys and Girls

We will need coaches!

We will be needing licensed coaches to work with our academy kids.  If you are interested in coaching, you will need to go to the E-Certification Class in June.  If you will commit to working with our Academy and Rec teams for 2 years, we will reimburse you for your E-License course.  Please email us for more information.

We are excited to offer a fall academy for community's more competitive young players who are interested in developing their skills.
